To all Saturday UJ habitues:
We have learned that SM Megamall Admin has ordered its security to observe the continuing assembly of people around the UJ store kiosk particularly during Saturdays. They'll be after the trading of items especially those that involve exchanges of money. This is understandable because they need to protect the interest of storeowners inside the mall that pay rent to them.
In view of this, please be advised to do the exchange somewhere else. A good place to do this is inside a restaurant where you momentarily pay space rent by eating inside. But be discreet in the exchange of money. Try to conceal it by putting it inside an envelope or plastic bag. For those sellers with numerous transactions, try to sort your items beforehand by putting them individually in a container, per buyer. As your buyers come to you, you can immediately hand them their items. This is to prevent you from exposing your items which may be miscontrued as being peddled around to interested buyers. It is also suggested to do the exchange in various places. Doing everything at the parking lot is not a wise idea as well.
So starting this Saturday, try not to meet up at UJ anymore. Maybe it's best to meet at the Toycon instead. Or at the MOA swapmeet the following day. Then on the succeeding weekends, just meet somewhere else.
Bottomline is, we want to ensure UJ is not dragged into this and not reprimanded by SM because of this. And of course, for the protection of the sellers whose items might get confiscated by SM. But before or after your transaction with somebody, try to still stop by UJ and maybe buy a few items from them. Let's still remember all the help UJ store has done for us especially since the boom of DCPH.
